Katie Elman
ACTOR-SINGER-DANCER
Katie is originally from Oakland, California, and has been obsessed with telling stories since day one. Growing up with two professional musician parents, she started playing piano at age five, and will be immediately disowned if she dare clap on one and three.
After earning her BFA in Musical Theater from The Hartt School of Music, Dance, and Theatre, Katie made her way to NYC, quickly immersing herself in the New York regional and Off-Broadway scene. As a Jewish actor, Katie is particularly passionate about engaging in work that celebrates Jewish voices and history.
By day, she showcases her elementary mathematics skills at the prestigious wealth management firm, Shufro Rose & Company, proudly Administrative Assistant to an all-female team: The Kaminsky-Silverman Group.
Last but certainly not least, Katie is so gay that it might be her entire personality. You can find her organizing as a committee member for the New York City Dyke March, and if she’s not at Pearl, she’s probably at Cubbyhole.
